•      What’s the difference between Purex Classic Dry and Purex Ultra Dry powder detergents?

  Purex Ultra Dry detergent has twice the concentration of Purex Classic Dry detergent, so you can use less and get the same great clean.

•      I noticed that there are small clumps of detergent forming in my box. Is this OK?

  Yes. Dry detergent will cake in conditions where there is high humidity. Loose caking will not usually affect the ability of the detergent to clean clothes.

•      When I opened my box of detergent for the first time, I noticed that it was not filled to the top. Is this normal?

  Yes. We fill Purex® powder detergents by weight, not by volume. Also, powder detergents tend to settle during the shipping process.

•      Do you have any tips for washing in hard water?

  Believe it or not, more than 85% of homes in the U.S. have hard water, and clothes that are washed in hard water tend to look dingy and feel harsh. Try adding ½ cup of 20 Mule Team® Borax to your wash load. It will help soften water and prolong the life of your clothes.

•      Should I continue to use my Purex Crystals with this detergent?

  Yes. For the best fragrance experience it is recommended to use with Purex Crystals.
